Massage etiquette
Massage etiquette is mostly about telling your therapist what you want, and saying so when that changes.
For Wonder Spa's own practice on arrival, showers, covering, talking and tipping, call 720-688-3967.
Massage etiquette before you arrive
Wear something comfortable that is easy to change out of. The what to wear guide has the detail.
Be on time, and put your phone on silent before the session starts. A buzz or a call breaks the quiet for you and the therapist. The preparation guide covers the rest of getting ready.
During the session
Decide your pressure before you lie down and say it at the start. If you are unsure, say medium and adjust.
Speak up when something changes. Ask for lighter, firmer or a pause, and say if the room is cold or a position is uncomfortable. A short sentence is enough.
Tipping
Tip at the end, once you know how the session went. The tipping guide has the usual range and how to work it out.
Etiquette questions
Should I shower before a massage?
Arriving clean is good manners, especially after a workout. For what Wonder Spa has available, call 720-688-3967 and ask.
Can you talk during a massage?
Yes. Some people chat and some stay quiet, and both are fine. Speak whenever you need to change something.
Is it rude to ask for a different pressure?
No. Asking for lighter or firmer is how you get the massage you came for.
